Bertha was born about 1151 in Bramber, Sussex, England.1 Bertha's father was William De Braose and her mother was Bertha De Gloucester. Her maternal grandparents were Miles De Gloucester and Sybil De Neufmarche. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William and Sybil. She died in 1170.1
