William was born in 1241 in Norfolk, England.1   William's father was Roger Calthorpe.  His paternal grandfather was Walter Calthorpe.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 65 in 1306.1

‌William and Cecily were married in a religious ceremony in 1266.1   They had a son named Walter.
