Knut Torkjelson Ovstedal 
Knut was born in 1634 in Voss, Norway.1 Knut's father was Torkjel Knutson Ovstedal and his mother was Ingeborg. His paternal grandparents were Knut Ovstedal and Wife of Knut Ovstedal. He had two brothers and a sister, named Ivar Torkjelson, Ole Torkjelson and Brita Torkjelsdatter. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 78 in 1712 in Voss, Norway.1 
Knut and Guri were married in a religious ceremony in 1657 in Voss, Norway.1 They had five sons and a daughter, named Gulleik Knutson, Ole Knutson, Haldor Knutson, Anders Knutson, Knut and Kari Knutsdatter.
