George Elton Pollitt

George Elton was born on January 10th, 1825 in , Lewis County, Kentucky.¹   George Elton's father was James Pollitt.  His paternal grandfather was Jonathan Pollitt. He had two brothers named Alexander H. and Alvin Oliver.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 77 on January 12th, 1902 in , Fulton County, Illinois.  He was buried in January 1902 in , Fulton County, Illinois.^1 1 

‌George Elton and Mary Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on June 21st, 1849 in , Fulton County, Illinois.¹   They had two sons and a daughter, named George Perry, James H. and Almira Ellen.
