William Edwin was born on June 16th, 1851 in Wednesbury, Staffs, England..1 William Edwin's father was John P. Pittaway and his mother was Francis Price. His paternal grandparents were John Pittaway and Sarah Walker. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named John Price, Samuel, Edwin James, Jonah Price, Thomas James, Fredrick Latham, Herbert Ernest, Harry Price, Sarah Jane, Mary, Emily and Lois Fanny. He was the oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 73 on March 21st, 1925.1 General Notes
