Mehitable was born on September 10th, 1794 in Natick, MA.1 Mehitable's father was John Frost and her mother was Mary Bacon. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Frost and Deborah Esterbrook; her maternal grandparents were John Bacon and Abigail Sawin. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John, Joseph, Moses, David, Lowell, Moses, Mary, Hannah and Rebecca. She was the fourth youngest of the ten children.-
