Absolam was born about 1779 in TN or VA.1 Absolam's father was John Estes and his mother was Elizabeth Chisum. His paternal grandparents were Moses Estes and Elizabeth Cumpton?; his maternal grandparents were John Chisum and Eleanor Gillington. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Abraham, Chisum, Moses, Joseph, John, Thomas Lafayette, Elijah, William, Elizabeth and Nancy. He died on February 7th, 1839 in Mt.
