Nancy C. was born on August 10th, 1839 in Freedom, Waldo Co., Maine, U.S.A..1 Nancy C.'s father was George Emmons and her mother was Hannah Laiten. Her paternal grandparents were John Emmons and Lucy Huff; her maternal grandparents were Jonathan Laiten and Mrs. Nancy Laiten. She had four brothers and three sisters, named James Franklin, Albert W., Luther Perry, George R., Recta Ann, Helen Ange and Eliza J.. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 81 on September 6th, 1920 in Prince, Saskatchewan, Canada. She was buried in Meota, Saskatchewan, Canada.1 1 General Notes
