Walter of was born in 1100 in Chitterne, Wiltshire, England.  Walter of's father was Edward (Count of Evereux) of SALISBURY and his mother was Maud FITZHUBERT.  His paternal grandparents were Walter Comte de EVEREUX and Philippa UNKNOWN; his maternal grandfather was Ralph  FIZTHERBERT.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 47 in 1147 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.
