John was born in 1478 in Eltham, Kent, England. John's father was Edmund ROPER and his mother was Catherine UNKNOWN. His paternal grandparents were Ralph Adam ROPER and Beatrice LEWKNOR. He was an only child. He died at the age of 46 in April 1524.
