Aelfgar Earl of was born in 1002 in Mercia, England.  Aelfgar Earl of's father was Leofric III  Earl of MERCIA and his mother was Godgifu (Godiva) THOROLDING.  His maternal grandfather was Thorold, Sheriff of LINCOLNSHIRE.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 60 in 1062.
