Pero's father was Don Lope Ruys El Chico and his mother was Donna Berenguela Gonzalez Of Giron. His paternal grandparents were Don Lope Diaz De Haro and Princess Urraca Alfonsa. He was an only child.General Notes
inheritor of an estate in Uca and Ayala from Donna Maria Sanz de Unca and therefore called Ayala. He was at the conquest of Seville in 1253 and evidently many years his wife's senior.
They had a son named Sancho.
