Svein I, known as Forkbeard, was born in 0965 in Denmark.  Forkbeard's father was King Harald III (Bluetooth) Gormsson Of Denmark, Forester Of Arques and his mother was Queen Gunhilda Olafsdoittir Of Denmark.  His paternal grandparents were King Gorm II Haraldsson Of Denmark/Jutland and Lady Thyra Klacksdoittir Of Denmark; his maternal grandparents were Olaf Bjornsson and Lady Ingeborg Thrandsdoittir. He had a brother and five sisters, named Herfastus, Senfria, Wevia, Thyra, Gunnora and Aveline Wevia Duvelina.  He was the second youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 49 on February 3rd, 1014 in Gainsborough,Lincoln,England.  He was buried in Hellig Trefoldig,RoskildeCathedrl,Roskilde,Denmark.

‌Forkbeard and Sygryda were married in a religious ceremony in 0998.  They had two sons and three daughters, named The Great, Harald IV, Gyda, Thyra and Astrid (Estrith).
