Thomas was born in 1199. Thomas' father was Count Thomas I De Maurienne Of Savoy and his mother was Beatrix De Geneva. His paternal grandparents were Count Humbert III De Maurienne Of Savoy and Beatrix De Macon; his maternal grandparents were Count Guillaume I De Geneva and Beatrix De Faucigny. He had five brothers and a sister, named Amadeus IV, Peter II, Philip, Boniface, Wilhelm and Beatrice.General Notes
