Adelaide was born in 0931 in Burgundy,France. Adelaide's father was King Rudolph II De Burgundy and her mother was Bertha De Swabia. Her paternal grandparents were King Rudolph I De Burgundy and Duchess Osela De Swabia; her maternal grandparents were Richard I De Swabia and Reginlinde De Nullenburg. She had a brother named Conrad III. She was the younger of the two children.General Notes
She is not mentioned in the Roman martyrology, but her name appears in several calendars of Germany, and her relics are enshrined in Hanover. St. Odilo of Cluny wrote her life.
