Gonçalo Pereira was born about 1450.  Gonçalo Pereira's father was João Rodrigues Pereira and his mother was Leonor De Tovar.  His paternal grandfather was Reimão Pereira De Lacerda. He had three brothers named João Rodrigues, Afonso Pereira De and Paio Gomes.

They had a daughter named Isabel Pereira.
