Catalina Barbara was born in March 1735 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Catalina Barbara's father was Juan Jose Montes De Oca and her mother was Maria Josefa Ureña Perez. Her paternal grandparents were Capitan Antonio Montes De Oca and Maria Gomez de Saravia; her maternal grandparents were Francisco Ureña and Maria Perez Moreno. She had a brother named Lorenzo.
