José Rodrigues Machado

José Rodrigues was born on April 30th, 1736 in S.Mateus, Ilha Do Pico (Açores).  José Rodrigues' father was Sebastião Rodrigues Alvernaz and his mother was Teresa Maria Silveira.  His paternal grandparents were Manuel Alvernaz Fialho and Maria Goulart; his maternal grandparents were Bento Pereira Madruga and Maria Leal. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Manuel Rodrigues, Antônio Rodrigues De, José, Francisco, Maria and Ana Francisca.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 81 in 1817.
