Esperança Das Chagas 
Esperança Das Chagas was born about 1692. Esperança Das Chagas' father was Manuel Fernandes (Gonçalves) D' Areia and her mother was Maria Luís. She had a brother and two sisters, named Manuel Fernandes, Catarina De Santo Antonio and Maria Da Conceição. She was the youngest of the four children.
Esperança Das Chagas and Domingos were married in a religious ceremony on June 4th, 1712 in Sta Cruz Da Vila Da Praia, Ilha Terceira (Açores).
