Douce was born in 1095. Douce's father was Gilbert Ier De Gévaudan and her mother was Gerberge De Provence. Her paternal grandparents were Bérenger II De Millau and Agnès Ou Adèle De Carlat; her maternal grandparents were Geoffroi De Provence and Etiennette-Douce De Marseille. She had a sister named Etiennette. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 34 in 1129.General Notes
