Raymond Ier was born in 1100. Raymond Ier's father was Guillaume IV Taillefer D'angoulème and his mother was Vitapoy De Benauges. His paternal grandparents were Foulques Ier D'angoulème and Condoha De Vegena; his maternal grandfather was Amanieu De Benauges. He had a brother named Wulgrin II. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 55 in 1155.General Notes
