Raymond-Roger was born in 1155. Raymond-Roger's father was Roger Bernard Ier Le Gros De Foix and his mother was Cécile Trencavel. His paternal grandparents were Roger III De Foix and Chimène Diaz De Barcelone; his maternal grandparents were Raymond Ier Trencavel and Adélaïde De Béziers. He was an only child.
