His paternal grandparents were Antonio Domingos Carneiro Da Fontoura (Sr. Da Torre De Pico Sacro) and Maria Taveira De Magalhães; his maternal grandparents were José De Oliveira Da Costa (Vedor-Geral) and Mariana Velosa. He had two brothers named Antonio Veloso Da and José. He died at the age of 90 on August 19th, 1769 in Rio Pardo-Rs.-
