George Markin

George was born in 1836.¹   George's father was Cornelius B. Markin and his mother was Elizabeth Gilkerson.  His paternal grandparents were Charles W I Markin and Lucinda Dechard. He had a brother and four sisters, named Charles, Jane, Cynthia, Eliza and Lucinda.  He was the second oldest of the six children.
