James Alston Ingram 
James Alston was born on August 13th, 1849.1 James Alston's father was Benjamin F. Ingram and his mother was Martha Wall. His paternal grandparents were William Pines and Susan Strother. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Edwin Wall, William Thomas, Joseph E., Benjamin, Robert, Stephen, Susan and Henrietta. He died at the age of 72 on September 11th, 1921.1 
James Alston and Mellie were married in a religious ceremony in 1873.1 They had three sons and six daughters, named James Benjamin, Jeremiah Long, Willie B, Cora Virginia, Martha Beulah, Eliza Bell, Henrietta, Mary Eva and Alma George.
