Zacheus Butts

Zacheus was born in 1667 in Little Compton, Newport, Rhode Island.¹   Zacheus' father was Thomas Butts and his mother was Elizabeth Lake.  His maternal grandparents were Henry Lake and Alice ??. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Moses, Eliashib, Hepzibah and Idido.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 51 in 1718.¹ 

‌Zacheus and Sarah were married in a religious ceremony in 1689 in Portsmouth, Newport, RI.¹   They had a son and four daughters, named John, Mary, Elizabeth, Sarah and Abigail.
