Matthias Button 
Matthias was born in Stonington, , Connecticut.1 Matthias' father was Peter Button and his mother was Sarah Crandall. His paternal grandparents were Matthias Button and Ann Lettyce Teagle; his maternal grandparents were John Crandall and Mary Opp. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Eliphal, Peter, Cyrus, Jedediah, Joseph, Samuel, Mary and Elizabeth. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named John, Hannah, Abigail and Sarah.
‌Matthias and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on December 20th, 1727 in Westerly,,Connecticut.1 They had five sons and seven daughters, named Benjamin, John, Matthias, Nathan, Peter, Amy, Anna, Eliza, Martha, Molly, Thankful and Button.
