Hugh II was born in 1030 in Rethel,Ardennes,France.  Hugh II's father was Manasses III d'Rethel  and his mother was Yvette de Roucy .  His paternal grandparents were Manassas II d'Rethel  and Odilie UNKNOWN.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 88 in 1118 in Rethel,Ardennes,France.
