In the name of God Amen this twenty seventh day of October in the year of our Lord 1764. I Flayll Payn of Frederick County and Province of Maryland, being weak but of perfect memory thanks be to God for it calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed
for all men to die, I do make and ordain this last Will and Testament, that is to say principally and first of all I give and reccomend my soul into the hands of almighty God that gave it and my body, I reccomend to the earth to be buried in a decent and christian burial at the descretion of my executor nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty powers of God and as such touching such worldly estate whereas with it has pleased God to bless me with in this life. I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. It as first I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Payn that tract of land called Payne's Indudtry to him and his heirs forever. Secondly, I give and bequearth to my son John Payn the upper part of my tract of land called Payn's Delight beginning at the mouth of the upper half and and at the mouth of a spring branch and so running with it, branch into line, to him and his heirs forever. Thirdly Flayll Payn, my son I leave executor to which I give the half of the part of tract of land called Payn's Delight and the other part of it to my son Peter Payn to them & their heirs forever. Flayll Payn my executor I give the third part of the remenon of muvible____and the other two parts to be equally divided between Peter Payn and John Best for them and their heirs forever. Martha Nichols, my daughter, I leave one shilling sterling. In witness set my hand & fixmy seal.
