Her paternal grandparents were Timothy McCarty and UNKNOWN Unknown; her maternal grandparents were Joseph Richardson and Elizabeth Bevan. She had five brothers and five sisters, named James, Isaac Froman, Enoch, Johathan, Benjamin, Mary, Sarah, Rachel, Hannah and Lydia. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.-
