Joyce was born in 1575 in Alborbury,England. Joyce's father was Leonard Lyster and her mother was Elizabeth Purcell. Her paternal grandfather was John Lister; her maternal grandparents were Edward Purcell and Anna Phillips. She was an only child. She died about 1635.-
