William was born about 1131 in Hazelwood,Yorkshire,ENGLAND.  William's father was Mauger Le Vavasour and his mother was UNKNOWN Le Vavasour.  His paternal grandfather was Mauger Le Vavasour.  He was an only child.  He died on June 29th, 1191.
