Thomas was born about 1677 in Henrico Co.,VA. Thomas' father was Thomas Jefferson and his mother was Mary Martha Branch. His paternal grandfather was Samuel Jefferson; his maternal grandparents were Christopher Branch and Mary Addie. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Captain Thomas, Martha and Mary. Note: Thomas Jefferson, Jr. owned race horses and, in 1697 in Chesterfield Co VA, his horse "Bonnie" won against "Wat". In 1698 he settled at Osborne's, a community on the James River, some 12 miles from Bermuda Hundred. He married Mary Field that year in Henrico Co VA, where the marriage record identitied him as the son of Thomas and Mary Jefferson. He purchased several parcels of land in Henrico Co VA, the first being 167Ac from William Byrd in 1699. He and his partners were granted lands there: in 1704 they were granted 628A, and in 1718 they were granted 1500A. He served Henrico Co as justice of the peace 1714-1734, as sheriff 1718-1719, and was a captain in the militia. He made his will 15 Mar 1725, naming his children. The will was proved Apr1731 in Henrico Co.

Peter Jefferson
Peter was born on February 1st, 1707 in Osborne's Chesterfield Co.,VA. He died at the age of 50 in 1757.
