Alberic was born in 1062 in Hedingham,Essex,ENGLAND.1 Alberic's father was Alberic De Vere and his mother was Beatrice De Gand. His paternal grandparents were Prince Manasseu , Count Of Ghesnes deVere and Petronilla De Boleine; his maternal grandparents were Henry Castellan De Gand and Sibilla De Manasses. He had four brothers and a sister, named Geoffrey, Roger, Robert, William and Rohese. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 79 on May 15th, 1141 in murdered in London,ENGLAND.General Notes
He, being in high favour with King Henry I, was constituted great high chamberlain of the kingdom in 1133, to hold the same in fee to himself and heirs. In 5 Stephen, 1140, while a joint sherriff of several counties, with Richard Basset, Justiciary of England, he was slain in a popular tumult of London. He married Adeliza, also called Alice, daughter of Gilbert deTonebruge and granddaughter of Hugh, Count of Clermone and his wife Marguerita.
