Marie was born in Ponite-Aux-Trembles,Montreal,Quebec,CANADA.  Marie's father was Antoine Courtemanche and her mother was Marguerite Vaudry.  Her paternal grandparents were Antoine Courtemanche dit Joliecoeur and Elisabeth Haguin; her maternal grandparents were Jacques Vaudry and Jeanne Renaud. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Jacques, Antoine, Jean, Pierre, Barthelmi, Jean-Baptiste, Antoine, Isabelle, Marguerite, Elisabeth, Marie-Madeleine and Suzanne.  She died on November 18th, 1760 in St Antoine De Chambly,Quebec,CANADA.1 


Marie's first family with Jean-Joseph Chartier

‌Marie and Jean-Joseph were married in a religious ceremony on October 29th, 1718 in Rivieres-des-Praries,Quebec,CANADA.1   They had five sons and three daughters, named Joseph, Jean-Baptiste, Pierre-Paul, Jacques, Theodore, Marie Josette, Pelagie and M. Renee.
