Isabel's father was John Bigod and her mother was Alice Basset. Her paternal grandparents were John Bigod and Amy UNKNOWN; her maternal grandparents were Thomas , Lord Headington Basset and Phillippa Malbank. She had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named Ralph, Hawise, Mabel, Hawise, Mabel and Isabel.-
