John was born in 1707 in Essex Co., Spotsylvania Co., VA..1 John's father was William Warren and his mother was Elizabeth Hackley. His paternal grandparents were John R. Warren and Rachel Williams; his maternal grandparents were John Hackley and Elizabeth Lambert. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William, James C., Samuel, Sara, Margaret and Mary. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Samuel, James C. and Sarah. He died at the age of 88 on February 11th, 1795 in Person Co., North Carolina.1 General Notes
