Sarah was born about 1791 in ,Mercer, Kentucky.¹ Sarah's father was Beverly WILLIAMS and her mother was Kizziah MARTIN. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Martin, William S., Aaron M., James L., Thomas G., John M., Elizabeth B. "Betsy", Nancy and Sally. She was the second oldest of the ten children.
