Her paternal grandparents were William Stanley and Alice MASSEY; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Lathom and Isabella PILKINGTON. She had five brothers and a sister, named William, John, Henry, Thomas, Ralph and Isabel. She was the second youngest of the seven children.-
