Maud was born about 1096 in Of, Tunbridge, Kent, England.1 Maud's father was Simon de St Liz and her mother was Matilda (Maud) de HUNTINGTON. Her paternal grandfather was A Norman Ranulph; her maternal grandparents were Waltheof and Judith de Lens. She had three brothers named Waltheof de, Simon de and Gui de. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Malcolm of, Henry of, Claricia of and Hodierna of. She died in 1140.1 General Notes
