Gunnhild's father was Gorm of Jutland Enske and her mother was Thyri Danebod Klacksdottir.  Her paternal grandfather was Harald II Parcus; her maternal grandfather was Klack-Harald of Jutland. She had a brother named Knut Danat. She had a half-brother named Harald VII Bluetooth.
