Waleran de was born in 0990 in Of Mellent, Normandy, France.1 Waleran de's father was Robert of Meulan and his mother was Alix de Vexin. His paternal grandfather was Robert I de Meulan; his maternal grandparents were Gauthier II Vexin and Adele de Senlis. He had a brother named Waleran II Or Galeran I. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 79 on October 8th, 1069.1 General Notes
