Richard de was born about 1143 in Of, Burgh-By-Sands, Cumberland, England.1 Richard de's father was Hugh de MORVILLE and his mother was Beatrice de BEAUCHAMP. His paternal grandparents were Simon de MORVILLE and Ada de ENGAYNE; his maternal grandparents were Hugues de BEAUCHAMP and Adeliza Matilda TAILLEBOIS. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Roger de, Malcolm de, Ada de and Maude de. He died in 1189.1 General Notes
