ZACHERY Lewis 
ZACHERY was born in 1673.1 ZACHERY's father was John Lewis and his mother was Isabella Miller. His paternal grandfather was John Colonel Lewis; his maternal grandfather was James Miller. He had nine brothers and five sisters, named Edward, John, William, Nicholas, David, Thomas, James, GAWIN, OWEN, Sarah, Mary, Elizabeth, MILDRED and PATIENCE. He was the seventh youngest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 46 in 1719 in Essex Co., Va..1 General Notes

Information has come out "Lewis Patriarchs of Va. and Md." suggesting that Zachery descends f rom a totally different line: John who married Sarah Nicholas (Nichols); John is the son o f Richard Lewis who came to the colonies in 1635. Richard was born in Wales in 1609, came t o America on the "William and John"--went to Barbados first--..His wife was a Frances...Joh n Lewis was born in 1637.
