Elizabeth Jane Lane 
Elizabeth Jane was born on January 6th, 1827 in North Carolina.1 Elizabeth Jane's father was John C. Lane and her mother was Ann G. MARTIN. She had nine brothers named George, Geroge, John, Richard, James, Noah, Isaiah, Washington and Samuel. She was the third oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 81 on October 29th, 1908 in Boomer Twp. Neol, IA.1 General Notes

Mrs. Powell Buried Sunday
Mrs. Jane Elizabeth Powell died at her home in Boomer
township, eight miles west of Neola, last Friday at the age
of 81 years, 10 months and 23 days. She was married to
Charles Powell at the age of 18 and in 1861 they moved to
Iowa where they have lived since. She united with the
Baptist Church when 15 years of age and was a faithful
member until her death.
She was the mother of 11 children, 8 of whom are now
living. They are John H., Mrs. E. Riley, Mrs. Joseph
Welbourn, Mrs. Martha Thomas, William J., Dike, Charles and
Richard.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Church at
Boomer Center and were conducted by Rev. Lewis of Neola.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of friends, and
the entire community extends sympathy to the family in
their bereavement.
