Sigurd's father was Lodar Hlodvirsson. He was an only child. He died on April 23rd, 1014 in Battle of Clontarf, Dublin.1 General Notes

_FA1 PLAC 14th Jarl.Fell at the Battle of Clontarf in 1014, and is mentioned in the Irish an nals for that year. (The Irish annals refer to Sigurd's father as being named "Lodar", whic h is in agreement with the sagas.)
