Humphrey de was born in 0980 in of Pontaudemer, Normandy, France.1 Humphrey de's father was TOUROUDE de Harcourt and his mother was Woerta de Crepon. His paternal grandparents were Torf de Harcourt and Ertemberge de BRIQUEBEC; his maternal grandparents were Herbastus de Crepon and Mrs-Herbastus de CREPON. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Herbrand, Gilbert, Richard, Ilbert de, Turchetil, Josceline de and daughter de. He died at the age of 64 on September 28th, 1044 in ,,Normandy, France. His name is found on many monastic charters of the perio d; and about 1050 he founded and endowed the Abbey of Pre'aux in Pontaudemer, where he was bu ried." (P) He married about 1005, AUBERE'E DE LA HAYE.
