Martha J. was born in 1835.1 Martha J.'s father was Samuel Gaddy and her mother was Martha Hurley. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Gaddy and Millison. She had two brothers and two sisters, named JACK, Thomas Jefferson, Mary E. and Frances Mariam. She was the second youngest of the five children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named George Ellis, James, William, Samuel and Mary.-
