John de la was born in 1042 in of Fleche, Anjou, France.1 John de la's father was Lancelin de Beaugency and his mother was Haberge (de Beaugency). His paternal grandfather was Landri de Beaugency. He had three brothers and a sister, named Herve de, Lancelin II de, Simon de and Adelaide de. He died at the age of 55 in 1097.1 General Notes
