pension records, Sarah states she was born in Clayborn Co.
Tenn on 24 Aug. 1850. I next found them on the 1870 Census
at Long Creek Twp. Carroll Co. Ark. Page 4 Dwelling # 25 I
then found them on the 1880 Census at Medicine Lodge,
Kansas- Barbour Co. Dwelling # 48 Family #27 Next found
them on the 1910 Census at Eagle Twp, Town Carmen, Alfalfa
County Oklahoma living with one of their sons. Thomas J.
Hutchins died 13 May 1910 at Carmen, Okla. and is buried at
the local cemetery. Sarah Cooper Hutchins died 20 April
1922 at Carmen, Okla. and is buried
beside her husband in an unmarked
grave. She provided a huge headstone for him but nothing
was provided for her. I have pension records, obits,
funeral home arrangements, some other misc. items. They had
a total of six children that I have found so far according
to the census records. Mary Jane HUTCHINS married my
ggrandfather John Wesley UPPERMAN in Medicine Lodge, Kansas
21 Sept. 1879. They had nine children. Any info you can
share with me about Benjamin will be greatly appreciated!
